Actually, THE BLACK MASS OF BROTHER SPRINGER was Willeford's
title. The original publisher asked Willeford to come up with
a more 'commercial' title: Willeford suggested they call it
NIGGER LOVER. The obviously unamused publisher simply
retitled it HONEY GAL. But now it's back in print under the
correct title.
