Thanks for the comments on neo-noir. Sounds like the whole concept is sorta vague. Mario's comment about the new noir being an irony of style implies to me that the new authors have pinned down some elements in traditional noir and added a twist. I haven't read a lot of post-1960 noir and what I have read I can't put my finger on the difference.
