One other in thing I noticed in BUST was a reference to New
York being a
"twisted city," as in TWISTED CITY by one Jason Starr. This
reminded me of something in the TV show THE WIRE, which
George Pelecanos produces (or executive produces--I don't
know from television). A couple of hoods are talking about
Washington, D.C., and one calls it Chocolate City. "They be
calling it Drama City now," says the other. Having read
Pelecanos's DRAMA CITY, I winked knowingly at the
screen.
