read an anthologized story by her not too long ago which I
thought had a satisfying sense of atmosphere and suspense.

I'm pretty sure I know which story you mean, but I don't
remember the titles either...but suspect it was in either of
one of Randisi's anthos, as indexed above, or perhaps the
parallel SISTERS IN CRIME series. But I'd bet a Randisi PWA
