Sandra Scopettone is a fine writer who writes a series with
lesbian protagonist (Lauren Laurano). It's midboiled with
frequent dips into hardboiled. I recommend her work.
Sandra used to participate in the old rec.arts.mystery. I am
surprised she hasn't shown up here. If we ever do a month on
gay and lesbian noir and hardboiled, it would be a good idea
to invite her.
