I attended the Virginia Festival for the Book last weekend in
Charlottesville. One of the panels I went to was on
detectives and members included S.J. Rozan, Gerald Duff,
Chris Chambers, James Sallis, and Andy Straka. Tom Nolan was
the moderator.
The topic of a renewed interest in HB works arising in the
1970s spurred dissertations in the academy. James Sallis
mentioned Bill Crider did one. I can't find this in the
archives though I have a memory of reading about it.
Bill, can you give the title or a pointer to it? Just
curious.
Thanks,
Ed Lynskey
