Am I right in thinking Yuill is a pseudonym of Terry Venables (former England manager and player, for the English football non-cognoscenti)? I thought he just wrote the TV series. Didn't notice any novels. And are these novels really any good?

Venables truly is a renaissance man - player, manager, Sinatra-esque crooner, crime writer, and dodgy businessman. He should stand for Mayor of London and add politics to his CV (thereby beating Jeffrey Archer, who has no musical element to his "accomplishments").
