TM said: Saddening that while Vin Packer (Marijane Meeker) has written her autobio, it says Very Little about her Gold Medal years, inasmuch as it's mostly aimed at her YA fans and published under her YA pseud, M. E. Kerr. Called ME ME ME ME ME: NOT A NOVEL if I recall. While some of her YA novels are lesbian-friendly, softpedalling her lesbian-novel years probably seemed a good idea for the comfort of junior-high librarians and such. It does mention, as I've probably mentioned here before, that she went to college with eventual fellow GMian Richard Matheson.

*********** And lived with Patricia Highsmith for a while, too. I did an internet search on her yesterday during lunch and it took me to a site where I was reading about her. Then John Dove came in wanting to talk work so I turned away from it and talked to him for a while. When he left I noticed the big header above the article said "gaywired". Wonder what John thought about that?
