i liked _laguna heat_. can't remember names, but i thought the grown daughter of the first murder victim was well drawn. come to think of it, he's good at developing all his characters... even the minor ones. on the biker subject, there was a great harley character in this book. the protagonist rode some unmemorable european crotch rocket.

i thought the plot dragged just a tiny bit, though.
