I like what I've read of Gardner. It's too bad some of his
books haven't been turned into Bond movies with Pierce
Bronson instead of writing formula pieces where only the
actors and location changes from movie to movie. Haven't read
Benson and probably won't any time soon ... too may
hardboiled works in the stacks to read first.
