Well well, if "The Solomon's Vineyard" that I read was "expurgated", I can't wait to get my hands on the real item: women enjoying their beating, strange cults and sacrifices and such things weren't exactly the normal stuff that was being published in Finland in the fifties. I wonder if the Finnish publisher expurgated the book a little bit more... Is the original book still in print?

As for Bill Pronzini, only one short story and one western novel have been translated into Finnish.
