I thought _Poodle Springs_ was quite readable, although the
voice and
the magic of Chandler weren't really there. It is a decent
novel, but
not one that should be associated with Chandler's work. The one
I didn't
like was _Perchance to Dream_, Parker's sequel to Chandler's
The Big
Sleep, a complete bromide.
