First of all, don't miss the film that critics are hailing as one of the best of the year, WINTER'S BONE (based on the 2006 novel by Daniel Woodrell). It has received rave reviews from NEW YORK MAGAZINE, NEW YORK TIMES, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, SALON.COM, and on and on... It opened last weekend in L.A. & NYC, and here is the schedule of when it should pop up in *your* town: http://bustedflushpress.blogspot.com/2010/05/anthony-award-nominations-daniel.html

Also, I'm moving up the release of TOMATO RED, the Busted Flush Press reprint of Woodrell's 1998 novel, which features a new foreword by Megan Abbott. http://www.indiebound.org/book/9781935415060 It should be out in early July. I just thought rara-avis subscibers would be happy to know it's coming sooner, rather than later (a nice change of pace for BFP!). :-)

[And also going to the printers this week: Donna Moore's hilarious caper novel, OLD DOGS!]
