Although someone could probably try by using the Lady in the Lake/beginning of Dark Passage gimmick of seeing through his eyes. Not saying it would be a good movie, probably wouldn't, but it could be tried that way.

I thought of that, but the very nature of it would telegraph the surprise, therebye removing it
