I recently finished Ken Bruen & Jason Starr's Bust- an enjoyable noir with a lot of twists.
I just finished Black Noir, edited by Otto Penzler, all short stories by African-American writers. I personally wouldn't call all of the stories noir, but they were all enjoyable. The ones that are noir were very powerful, especially Charles Chesnutt's the Sheriff's Children.
In between, I read the last Dortmunder novel, Get Real. I miss Donald Westlake already.
As an aside, I finally got one of my favorite movies, Sharky's Machine on DVD. It has a blurb on the back, "Best film noir since Body Heat." I wouldn't consider Sharky's Machine to be noir at all...
