RARA-AVIS: Re: No Country for Old Men (the movie)

Hunter's film reviews more often then not firmly prove the guy is off point with his head firmly planted too far up his own backside.

The character's in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and the story itself need no further exposition then what they're given.

Read the book and tell me it ain't so.

Gonna check out the Coen's adaptation later this week.

Saw BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD this past week and am actually surprised there hasn't been any discussion of it here yet simply because it is a tale that should speak loudly to all the aficionados that subscribe to this list.

So far, movie of the year and about as fatalistically hard-boiled as they come.
