Is it just me, or does the villain in Block's TICKET TO THE BONEYARD
(1990) seem "inspired" by the villain Mortay in Andrew Vachss's BLUE BELLE (1988)? Both have freakishly elongated features and physiques, both have weird and spooky martial arts talents, and their pain/death fetishes seem quite similar. Was James Leo Motley mentioned in any previous Scudder novels, or is he introduced in BONEYARD?
