Patrick, your point about markups and huge profit margins
makes sense, it's true,but not in the book industry, which
aside from textbooks, self-help books and _a few_ fiction
blockbusters, doesn't make a lot of money. You can make a lot
more money in cosmetics, clothing and countless other
commodities, but books, especially good books, aren't a
goldmine.
And yes,let's get back to hardboiled and noir, at whatever
price... This was a good discussion but we can't regulate
prices from here.
