RARA-AVIS: On Lolita and Daly

Did you know there was a connection... Nah, just kiddin'.

I wasn't saying LOLITA is a noir novel, I said "I think a case could be made".

As for Daly, there's energy in his short stories, but they lack coherency. There's not enough plot (or there's too much of it). I've read only one novel by Daly and it was a one-off. Don't remember the title, sorry. It wasn't good, though.
