A few days ago I saw a brief presentation of "THE BLACK
DAHLIA" film by De Palma presented at the opening Mostra in
Venice (Italy). Ellroy was also there and very cooperative to
present this new film.
All this did not really calm my apprehension, as De Palma is
a highly
"unstable " (not reliable from film to film) film maker and
Ellroy looked unreal... Did somebody on the list already see
this film adaptation of what will probably stay as Ellroy's
masterpiece? An opinion about it?
