Re: RARA-AVIS: Looking for "heist" books

Date: 10 Feb 2006

You definitely need to check out Garry Disher's Wyatt series, which is a down under version of Westlake/Stark's Parker.

And Dan J. Marlowe's The Name of the Game is Death (although that's more about aftermath) and Four for the Money.

Robert Pollock's Loophole.

And, of course, there are a ton of great caper movies, especially French ones like Rififfi, Bob Le Flambeur (and its odd remake, The Good Thief), Le Doulous, Le Cercle Rouge, etc. Any of those based on books?
