I finished JDM's "Dead Low Tide" a couple of days ago, and I
was disappointed.
It was the first JDM I remember having to struggle through. I
think the problem was that to me the weak protagonist was
also a weak man.
Another problem may be the yellow-page, falling-apart Gold
Medal paperback edition.
I had to read the last twenty pages holding one page at a
time. That's not really a complaint, just a little naustagia
for a book that's been on my shelf for about twenty
years.
I think this is the first time I read it.
