Richard Moore has probably had a copy of this book for years,
and it's probably signed. I, on the other hand, looked for it
for thirty or so years before finally nabbing the Handi-Books
reprint on eBay. I agree with just about all Richard's
comments, including the part about the book's being overly
complicated. As for the drinking, I recently read Atlee's (or
Phillips') THE INHERITORS. I'd say there's more liquor
consumed in the course of that novel than in just about
anything else I ever read, and I've read Jonathan
Latimer.
