The first American paperback was retitled BLIND ALLEY when it
was published by Pyramid in 1954. The reprint in 1957 went
back to the original title and was published under the Shaw
name. The hardcover was published by Crown. Copies of all
these editions are available on abebooks.com at fairly
reasonable prices. The British first will set you back a good
bit more if you want a nice copy.
