maybe i didn't get this right, but doesn't penny's dad die
both before penny is born AND about the time dunc is 22
(graduated from college)? penny is start- ing college, so
that would put dunc at age 40 when she's 18.
i'm not reading something right here. first,i have a hard
time seeing 18 years passing from the first of the book til
he meets penny, and second, i notice at the end of the book
someone still describes him as a kid.
