Dear Mark:
The first book I wrote in English was Outcast. I had reasons
to believe that what I wanted to write about wouldn't be
approved by my country's ideologues, as two previous books of
mine --written in Spanish-- were not. That is the only reason
for writing in English, since my knowledge of Spanish is, of
course, much greater than my elementary English.
