Saw an interesting Norwegian police procedural on cable the
other night-- Insomnia (1997)--about a flawed Swedish
detective who forms an alliance with a man whom he knows is a
murderer, to protect himself. Not always great acting, but
intriguing psychology at work. Is there a novel that inspired
this film?
Checked the IMdb, and only found that it's being made in the
US by Chris Nolan, starring Al Pacino, with same
screenwriter, for release in 2002.
