Have just finished "Father and Son" and "Fay" - latest outings by Brown and highly recommend them as examples of noirish-HB fiction - There is a policemen as major protagonists in both so I guess that qualifies them as
"crime" novels? - Anyway He dedicates his latest 'Fay' to Harry Crews who surely has cred in the HB stakes. Later... Jim S
