Based on the raves I read here, I went down to Bookman's and bought their only Dan J. Marlowe. Operation Flashback, written in 1970, must be one of the international spy efforts. It is awful. Like, maybe second runner-up in a Matt Helm wannabe contest. Thing is, the cover said it won a 1st prize from the Mystery writers of America. Did I miss something?

Any thoughts?
