I'm not sure how common recurring villains were in the GM
series. Sam
Durrell had at least a few who showed up more than once. I
wonder what the
editorial expectations were for readers -- did they expect
readers to follow
the series loyally, or just pick up a book in the series
infrequently as
they were published? I'm thinking the former, because of the
numbering
schemes given some of the series -- particularly the Helm
