RARA-AVIS: Robert Lyle

Mark Sullivan (ANONYMEINC@webtv.net)
Mon, 7 Dec 1998 20:43:04 -0500 (EST) I was in a used book store today and saw several books by Robert Lyle,
some featuring a PI named Ben Gates. Are these worth picking up?

While there, I bought Four for the Money by Dan J. Marlowe, Mongo's Back
in Town and The Judas by E. Richard Johnson, Blood Brother, Blood
Brother by Niles N. Peebles,The Silencers by Hamilton, No Halo for Me by
Jason Manor and Going to the Dogs by Dan Kavanagh, all on tips from the
list (so if I don't like any of them, you're to blame). Speaking of
which, thanks to whoever recommended the Augustus Mandrell books by
Frank McAuliffe; I wouldn't really call them hardboiled or noir, but
they are quite enjoyable and very amusing.

Thanks,
Mark
