Re: RARA-AVIS: dickless realities?

on the left also. For instance, look at most of the hate speech
statutes. Most, if not all, are from the left, but there are many
leftist, myself included, who find the speech police a PC overkill that
is far more threatening in its chilling of speech. Driving hate
underground does not end it. It is far more important to expose it for
what it is through more discussion, not less. Which is why this issue
is hotly debated within the ACLU itself.

Also, look at the Laura Dern movie, Citizen Ruth. Not nearly as good a
movie as some would say, almost all of the characters are cardbaord
cut-outs, but it does make the point that the left and the right can
both become unthinking automatons serving a politic whose raison d'etre
has been forgotten.
