Tonight I was sending some money to people from whom I used to buy things in person but am now making different arrangements. I used Interac e-Transfer® (he wrote, carefully using the proper corporate branding) and found that both had autodeposit turned on so they didn’t need to answer any security question. When I set them up as a payee I had to create a question, but when I submitted the details, their email address was checked and the system told me they had enabled autodeposit so it wasn’t needed.
This sounded pretty sweet, so I checked the instructions on Enhanced features with Interac e-Transfer (no ® there, don’t ask me why) and followed the instructions and now I’m configured for autodeposit. Nice! Next time someone sends me $20 for the ticket I picked up for them, we’ve saved a step.
