I’m running a short series on Eugène Delacroix on Listening to Art: The Death of Sardanapalus, Liberty Leading the People and Street in Meknes, with another issue to come on Tuesday. There’s a special extra to go with the new issue: a field recording made in the garden outside the apartment and studio where Delacroix lived from 1858–1863, which is now the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix. It’s on Radio Aporee ::: Maps: In the Garden at the Delacroix Museum.

This was part of a wonderful trip to France I had in July, about which I will say more later.
