"The Mercenaries" is a great book, one of the rare hardboiled
mysteries where you really are interested in the mystery
itself. Reading Chandler I really don't care who murdered
who, but in "The Mercenaries", it's different. And yet,
hardboiled through and through. (Am I using the right
proverb?)
