i am new here and would like to say hello to all @ rara-avis.
i am not a student or scholar interested in the genre but an
enthusiast who over the years has come to appreciate,
identify with, the hardboiled\noir aesthetic. my recent reads
are: wild wives by chas willeford, hell of a woman by jim
thompson, carny kill by i can't remember who, pick up by chas
willeford, all of george pelecanos, david goodis, several
anthologies, harry cruz, etc....i hope to have a fair
interaction here and discuss the 'issues' brought forth by
our fave authors. (please forgive me bu the hour is late and
my writing is scattered). if anyone has read the chas
willeford biography please please please send me the quote he
made on charles bukowski!! later and sorry for all the
type
'o's'.
edwardo.
