just finished dave zeltserman's 'the caretaker of lorne field' and really enjoyed it. it's very moving and suspenseful as well. depending on your definition of noir, it's noir ;) not that i'm looking to start that one up anew. i'd rather talk about fred's (i think it was fred) comments about 'the long goodbye' novel versus movie.
next up for me is don winslow's 'savages', which i've heard great things about.
