    Well, I'm glad that mystery's solved.

    It's just you guys seem sort of on the same wavelength, and of course by the time I get to the bottom, it's signed Patrick. I'm sure I've attributed (and replied to) various posts to the wrong person on occasion. Hell, I'm still trying to sort out the Jacques/Mario/time/space continuum. But now that I know there are two of you, I guess I can understand the occasionally contradictory and malleable viewpoints a little more easily.

    Dave left? How peculiar. He had just e-mailed me offlist insisting he wasn't threatening to leave at all, and that I had misunderstand that post. Are you sure? Because someone else told us Jim Dougherty left because of someone or another's behaviour on the list. I asked him about that this weekend in San Francisco and he seemed mystified. He denied having left the list, and said he'd' just been busy.

    I think a lot of us could understand that.
