    Actually, THE SHIELD was also on FX, as is the rather good SONS OF ANARCHY.

    I like WEEDS, and have been meaning to catch up...the current season episodes do seem to be sharply written, what I've seen, though the series most relevant to this list that I've been happiest with recently has been the comedic BORED TO DEATH on HBO.
