Well, from the archives and associated pages of this very list:

The Black Lizard Anthology of Crime Fiction Gorman, Edward (editor). (Black Lizard, 1987)

    "The Used," Loren D. Estleman
"A Cold Foggy Day," Bill Pronzini
    "Swamp Search," Harry Whittington
"Take Care of Yourself," Wiliam Campbell Gault
"A Matter of Ethics," Robert J. Randisi
    "Tough," John Lutz
"This World, Then the Fireworks," Jim Thompson
    "Soft Monkey," Harlan Ellison
    "Yellow Gal," Dennis Lynds
    "Scrap," Max Allan Collins
"Set 'Em Up, Joe," Barbara Beman
"Shut the Final Door," Joe L. Hensley
"Death and the Dancing Shadow," James Reasoner
"A Killer in the Dark," Robert Edmond Alter
    "Perchance to Dream," Michael Seidman
    "Horn Man," Clark Howard
    "Shooting Match," Wayne Dundee
"The Pit ," Joe R. Lansdale
    "Turn Away," Edward Gorman
    "The Second Coming," Joe Gores

And the contents of THE SECOND isn't as handily online as I check at this hour, but I don't believe it takes from, or at least much from, BLACK MASK, either. (None of the above are BLACK MASK reprints, iirc...basically, if we refer to the "original" BLACK MASK magazine, only the Gault is likely to have been possibly written early enough, but I don't think it is, either.)

But this list suggests the Penzler has to be as good as you could possibly want to match up to this one (and my memory of the seoond).
