I have indeed read that biography, not to mention Bob Thomas' "Bud and Lou", also a worthwhile, if slightly more negative read. By the way, Chris is Lou's youngest daughter. His only son, butch, tragically drowned just before his 1st birthday in their backyard pool. Archive.org is a terrific site for a lot of noirish radio shows. As I have stated in the past, one of my favourites is "The Many Lives of Harry Lime".
Ron, I agree A&C haven't quite stood the test of time, but I still get kick out seeing one of their movies every now and again.
(Sorry, if we're getting a bit off topic.)
Best,
Harry

Wow! Thanks, Harry, for the recommendation of Archive.org. I'd never heard of it. Now I'll have a ball looking for some favorites (I see Bob & Ray there too.) Have you read Lou Costello's biography by his son Chris Costello, LOU'S ON FIRST; THE TRAGIC LIFE OF HOLLYWOOD'S GREATEST CLOWN. Very good. About a year ago we drove over to Los Angeles to find Lou's house that is mentioned in the book, but sadly it was being torn down.
