Yep! That's the same Whitfield/DeColta series I was talkin' about! Awesome! I'm sold!

    Thanks! Harry

Maybe. The sequence is identified as Rainbow Diamonds, and consists of six stories- Diamonds of Dread, The Man in White, The Blind Chinese, Red Dawn, Blue Glass and Diamonds of Death. Sound right?

The six short stories by Raoul Whitfield...are they the RAINBOW MURDERS (as they were known at least when re-printed in the mid- to late 1940s in EQMM)?

    Thanks in advance!

Did everybody already hear about this except me?

I was given an ARC today and I all but fell over in surprise and delight. It's 1114 pages long. Authors include every classic contributor to Black Mask you know and many you may not. Highlights include a connected chain of six short stories by Raoul Whitfield as Ramone Decolta unseen since it's original appearance in Black Mask back in 1931. And an early, supposedly prefered, draft of Lester Dent's superb, oft-reprinted, Sail. And...well...a whole lot of other very promising tales. Time to crack a beer, kick back in the porch chair, and put on the Black Mask.
