    I see that James Hadley Chase is listed amongst their writers on offer; reason enough to regard them, or at least their quality control department, with a jaundiced eye.

    I wouldn't read one of those Black Mask reprints on a bet.  Setting aside the issue of whether any of them are technically bootlegs, the titles I've seen look like they were done by a ten-year-old who got some OCR software for Christmas.
