    Early iPad adapters get more animation, but younger Abbott's two essays are a profile of Gugino, hyping in part a noirish short-film reboot of "The Tell-Tale Heart," and a more wide-ranging take on, well, LA noir. And yet another essay by someone else which chooses to confuse true crime magazines with pulps. Because they're all hella cool, doncha know.
