Thanks much, Bill. Just what kind of magical thinking is in effect here? In a world where growing some potatoes is the main consideration, advanced technologists and cutting-edge academics will not have much room, or respect, probably.
Do these people even know how much energy is used to run the Internet? It amuses me (but only for a second or two) that people imagine that the future is going to be like the present but "much more better"...
Don't they teach history these days?
