Google Joe Arpaio, the sheriff for Maricopa County, Arizona. He's famous for
making inmates in his jail wear pink underwear and generally being an all
around dick. I don't know if Texas inmates wear pink jumpsuits, but Arapio
might be where Lansdale got the idea.
