I continue with the steady Gold Medal diet. Lawrence Block's The Specialists, from 1969 was a good read. A mix of Parker-type caper, Donald Hamilton "the Man orders...", and a theme of revenge generally.
One can see how Block was tailoring his talent to the successful trends in hardboiled. This is a good example, excellent and fast read. I don't know if it has ever been reprinted.
