I thought I'd throw this out here because I know there are a lot of writers and editors on this discussion board.
Should the word "noir" be italicized? Or has it been around long enough that it can be thought of as part of the English language now and not italicized?
I've seen it both ways, and, unfortunately, written it both ways. I need to pick one.
