I've reread a bunch of the stories from Killer in the Rain reently, but not that one. As in previous readings, _Bay City Blues_ impressed me as a masterpiece of a story."

    Pilfered from the short story version of "The Lady in the Lake," and REUSED in "No Crime in the Mountains," which, otherwise, had nothing to do with the novel version of THE LADY IN THE LAKE, despite its being included in the KILLER IN THE RAIN collection.
