The Boston Globe today is running a short interview with Lee Child, and this is his answer about why he finally unleashed Jack on Al Queda:
Child: "Well, Reacher takes on who I'd like to take on. My -- and his--moto is"Never Forgive, Never Forget," and I'm still pretty mad at what happened to my adopted city on 9/11. Would I like to meet a couple of AQ folks in a dark alley somewhere? You bet. Would Reacher like to meet 19? Equally."
Somehow I think if Child ever got his wish things wouldn't go too well for him.
